Interface

Different kinds of interfaces are availaable to connect Thermaltransfer-printers.

Serial interface
The serial interface is a very universal one, because lots of devices (e.g. PCs or printer) have one. The distance between computer and printer mustn't be more than six to eight meter. One con is that several parameters have to be set.

Parallel interface
The parallel interface allows a fast transmission of data. Since the transmission parameters are always the same, it is not necessary to set them. The distance between computer and printer mustn't be more than five meter.
