Wax-ribbons

Wax-ribbons contain a colour layer with carrier from natural and synthetic wax. In energy addition the wax melts, releases itself from the basic foil and becomes hard again after contact with the label. It's a physical and repeatable process, due to that pure wax qualities have only a short consistency.
They print with little energy addition and high printing speed (up to 300 mm/s) but the printed result has only a limited consistency against whipping and scratching. They are especially appropriate for printings on coated and uncoated paper and carton.
