Printer cannot be switched online

Explanation

Coloured or very transparent thermal transfer ribbons cannot be used in certain printers with their standard settings because the photo electric sensor does not "recognize" the ribbon.

Help

Besides the possibility to adjust the corresponding potentiometer on the main board (which should always be performed by a technician only) you can also cover the sensor by taping a piece of ribbon to it.
